© Peter Watson 2017 or house sequence, the ‘history houses’ that were such a feature of Çatalhöyük society? In the long lists of genaeologies, only the names of sons (who go on to become fathers) are given. Elsewhere, we see in Çatalhöyük the division into opposites and the pairing of things, including animals, which prefigure Noah and the ark. One of the two ways God creates woman from man is by piercing his (soft) flesh and extracting a (hard) rib. One of the ways God creates Adam is by creating an image (of himself) from dust and breathing life into it. Does this recall the human figurines made so much of in Çatalhöyük? Is there a link between the clean and unclean areas of Çatalhöyük houses and the fact that in the bible God distinguishes between clean and unclean animals, many of the unclean ones being pigs, rabbits, mice and voles that would have been a nuisance (and possible health hazard) in Neolithic villages? It is known that Çatalhöyük influenced Phoenician and Hittite beliefs and that they in turn influenced the Old Testament peoples, so these comparisons are not improbable. Conclusion Intuitively, the Neolithic seems very late for humans to have discovered the link between intercourse and birth but the evidence here is consistent and, if the link to Genesis is sustained by further research, it confirms this epoch as arguably the most influential in all history.  That’s it. If you’ve read this far, you must be interested in the general subject. If you have anything to add, I’d love to hear from you. If you have any genuine criticisms I’d like to hear those too, but try to make them constructive. I’ve thought of making this a book but am not sure. Do let me know what you think. May, 2017. 
